Nodding they took to firng at the jeep wth all their might.

Wolfwood Swerved so that the windshield could protect them and he ducked, pulling Meryl down with him.

Vash could hear gunfire, he ran towards it

Meryl colsed her eyes bitng back pain."S...sorry Wolfwood.." she manged choking on her words."Maybe...that was..not so....smart....'' she choked again pain ripping through her.'God Im a fool.' She faught back the darkness."Man...so this is what Vash...mst feel like...god it hurts....."

"Don't talk and stay down." Wolfwood commanded, he picked up his gun and ammo, reloading with practiced perfection, he aimed at the enemy and shot towards them three times before ducking behind the dashboard again.

Vash could hear the gunshots getting closer.

Meryl fronwed but complyed laying quitely."Your..bossy..." she ssaid sarcasticly."Way to....." he couldnt finish it was to much work.

Vash saw the jeep, and Knives's men shooting at it, he snuck around behind it and jumped behind them, "Hey now, Stop that!" He said to them aiming his gun at them.

Wolfwood popped up at the same momwnt and took aim at them as well.

The men froze looking at Vash."What the....how did he get back their Sam, you guys go deal with him, Ill go pick up our girl." he jumped out running tward Wolfoowds jeep firing like crazy.

Sam looked at Vash."Ah hes nothin but a skinny weak punk we can take him. Come on big shot dance." they growled firng at him.

Vash danced with the bullets for a moment, then jumped over the man putting the gun to the back of his head, "Ah ah ah..." and spinning him around for his friends to see, "Drop your weapons kids."

Wolfwood shot a couple times at the leader before ducking again.

The mand gulped."Lower your weapons! Lower your weapons!" he screamed as his men did. the tuning ran for the hills. the man pulled away."Okay okay Im leaveing..." with that he reatreted.(bunch of babies lol)

Vash walked up to the jeep after the men left, "Is everythi- MERYL!" He jumped in next to her, "She was shot?!"

Wolfwood nodded and walked to the back, getting out the first aid kit and handing it to Vash, who started to work on Meyl right away, "This is all my fault..." He mumbled.

Meryl eyes opend fousing in pain on Vash she blinked trying to peak finally making out the words."Sorry....Va.." she tryed to catch her breath but it hurt to breath, she sallowed, the worldwas dimming fast."Tryed...hard not...to get hurt... guess Im...careless..." she blinked."I...just tired now..."

Vash helt smelling salts in front of her to keep her awake, "You can sleep when you are pacthed up Meryl...I need you awake for now, I don't want you slipping into a coma..."

Wolfwood again found himself reaching for a cig, but failing to have one.

Meryl winced at the smell trying to pull away."I...try.." she mutterd, but soon he could not fight any longer."Just want to sleep..." she said blacking out right in the middle of Vsh working on her.

Vash finished the work, "Alright...Wolfwood...take her back to town."

"...Alright..." Vash says after a moment, he put's Meryl in the back and let's wolfwood drive.

Meryl layed there motionless for now as they dorve, if shed been awake to hear what Vash had aid there woud have been a gunman with a headache.
