Standing he headed for the door to set his planin motion.

Meryl stood stairng out her window looking at the dusty town otside, wandering whereVash had gone. Once more he had left her alone exepct for Millie, alone to worry if hed see him alive again."Oh Vash.." she whisperd closing her eyes."I fyou only knew how I felt for you, but maybe this is for the best..."

Milly came in arms loaded down with things that they had needed from the store (mainly pudding .She sat them down and called out in a sinning way."Meryl, Im back! smling she enterd the room lookingf or her"Meryl are you here?"

Vash walked quietly by himself, the burning sands all around him, a sandstorm treatened to kick up, Vash wasn't concerned, he had walked through them before, he didn't like it, but the next town was a long ways off, and he couldn't see stoping for just a little wind.

Wolfwood sat in a bar, a few towns over from the one where Vash had left Meryl and Millie to go fight his brother, Millie didn't know that he was alive, and that made him depressed, but it couldn't be helped, they had to let them believe that he had died, otherwise he wouldn't have the chance to heal up and Knives or Legato really would have finished him off.

"damn..." He mumbled, Millie's face popping up in his memory, "Why can't I just forget you...?"

Meryl side turning back to Millie."Yeah Im oaky Millie." he said with a fake smile."I just have alot on my mind.'' she sighed looking backutthe window. They had beeen through so muchtogether, Millie and her. She knew how much Millie still hurt for sometimes at night she could here her cry."Alot on my mind..'' she mutterd laying her head on the cool glass.

Milly sighed nodding with pretend happiness.''If you say so Meryl." she said turning around tending to the store bought goods glanceing sadly at a small pictre of her and the group together, fighting back tears."Oh Wolfwood, why did you have to die.

Wolfwood shook his head, "I can't keep this up...I just can't let her think that I'm gone..."

He sighed, the conversation coming back into his mind.

"Are you going to get up or what?"

He looked up, "Vash?"

"So...came to confess?" Vash said softly, looking around the church.

"...Yeah...Can't say I expected to still be alive..."

"Life is full of stange happenings..."

"Yeah...yeah it is..."

You should probably lay low." Vash's face became serious, "If Knives finds out you are still alive he will have you finished."

"...Yeah." Wolfwood said softly.

"I've taken care of your wounds...I think you will be fit to walk..."

Wolfwood groaned as he picked himself off the floor, "Thanks Niddle noggin."

Vash nodded, "I'll hold onto the cross punisher...until we meet again."

"...Alright." Wolfwood said as he headed towards the door.

"Wolfwood!"

Wolfwood looked back towards Vash, "Life is a series of meetings, partings and reunions...I'll see you later." He said.

Wolfwood simply waved.

But had that been the right thing to do? Right now, he knew that somewhere Millie was hurting because he had faked his death.

"I can't keep this up..."

He paid his tap and walked out of the bar.

Meryl looked over at Millie hearing what she said she hurried to her side."Oh Millie" she whisperd hugging her younger parter."Its okay, I know you miss him. Its okay." She tyed to comfert her though she knew it did little good,both wemon were greiveing. One for the loss of thea man she loved,and another whos heart worried and felt like breaking not knowing if hers was alive.

Milly barried her head in Meryl's sholuder."Im sorry Meryl.'' she said between sobs."It just hurts so much." he sobed harder."I miss Mr. Preist..I never told him..." he sobbed harder not able to hold in the pain.

Vash walked on, following his brother's Mental signature, the events from the last year running through his mind at breakneck speed.

"If I survive...I have to go back to her..."

Wolfwood walked out of the bar and looked at the Angilina IV, the forth motorcycle that he had bought in his career, "Probably still in Demetri...or somewhere around there..."

He got on the bike and took off.

Knives knew Vash was coming,he could feel his twin drawing closer by each step. Knowing why he came."So be it." he whisperd to no one."That answers my qeustion you wish to fight brother so be it. Try and stop me Vash.Just try."

Meryl patted her back."I now Millie please dont apologise.'' she whisperd."Youve been through alot tears are just part of that.I know you miss him, hes with you though you now that right?"
