The motorcycle kicked up sand behind Wolfwood as he tore across the desert, towards the town he had last heard from Vash.
Vash had left him a little piece of lost technolegy to keep in touch, it was in the shape of a pen, but it ran into Vash's earring.

Meryl helped Millie into a chair to rest while she teneded the store goods, looking at her friend worriedly from time to time."Hey Millie waht about some pudding.'' she saidtrying to sound cheerful."Im not great at making it but I can try right." She had to keep herself busy to keep from going crazy with worry, maybe she would take a part time job to help.

Wolfwood pulled into a small town, it was busy with people, it was also the last place that Vash had contacted him, "I just hope that she doesn't hate me..." He mumbled to himself, reaching into his breast pocket for a cigerette, but finding it empty, "Right..."
Millie's "Cigerettes are bad for the baby" line came into his head again, and he had thrown away his last pack.
"damn it..." He mumbled as he parked the cycle somewhere safe.

He had asked a few people around town where two young ladies were staying and they all gave him the same answer.
Of course he knew right when he got into town where they were, he could feel it, but he was stalling, argueing with himself in his mind.
"How should I handle this...what should I say? Should I go in happy? No no no...that would just piss her off...but what about...no...Ahhh!"
He finally walked up to the door and knocked once, hoping that Meryl answered the door.

Wolfwood gulpped, "Uh...No..." He was lying, It had been Vash's idea in the first place, but he didn't see the need for Meryl to hate them both, "It was my idea...and that's why I showed back up...I felt she should know...but maybe it would be best if she didn't ya know?"
