Nero sighed as he bandaged up one of the last village guards. Looking sadly at the clawa marks marring theyoung boys chest. Then damaged homes the only witness to resent demon attack that had happennd more than a day ago.Closing his eyes he turned away not able to take the sight of the damged homes or tothose barryingthere dead.He had always beentaughtthat demons and humanswere broters. No true diffrents in them. But like all races they to had evil ones in it.He had hoped of bringing
silght pease to bout raises.But how could he after this happend. He stood lookig over his shoulder to the younger monk behind him."I have done what I can here."he said in a low voise."I should take my leave soon there is much to be done." The youger monk nodded."You plan to seek out the demons who did this dont you." he asked eyes buring. Nero hesated then nodded."Yes I plan to." The younger monk smiled bowing clumsliy showing that he was still onlya boy."Thank you Nerosama." he said in a hushed tone."If not for you our town would have parished. We are in your det." He looked up slowly smileing abit."I turlynow you will stop those evil ones" Nero stood for a moment then bowed to befor exiting thehut."Yes evil ones." he said sadly beforig heading back to his barrowed hutt to prepair.

Kari slowly madethroughthe trees high above the path cutt of the bottem of the forest, ears open to her the sound of any approaching human or demon wandering upon her not wishing for a battle. All her life she had battled both side of her heritage, both sides who seemed to hate her because of her half breed blood. She was a gentle person only wanting to livein peace, now running for her life.Allshe wanted was for one dayof peae. Sighing she moved on looking for hiding to rest her warn body.

Nero had finished with his packing and after saying fare wel lto everyonein the village hebegin the long jounrey in serach for the demons,hi heart hevy with sadness at the thought of what he might have to do."Gods I hate this...." he mubbled as he stoped looking around the area dred wrenching his stomach.

keiko walked out of a small hut she has been living in since her parents passed away. "comming zuki?" she called over her shoulder. she pulled her hair up in its usually pony tale so her hair wouldnt get in her way. a young fox came running out of the hut and jumped on keiko. keiko caught her in her arms laughing. "your getting to big for this" she said letting her pet fox jump down from her arms. "say, you want to help me train?" the fox nodded and keiko petted the top of her head. "i knew you would. lets got zuki" keiko ran with zuki by her side. no matter what people said, her life wasnt that bad.
"demon! help someone please! demon in the village!" keiko stopped and so did zuki. "you here that girl" they both went running in the direction of the mans scream. "it must be over here...the voice is getting closer" soon she felt her body collide with another. the old man feel to the floor. "whats wrong" she said without apologizing. "demon in the village!" he yelled once more. "hes killing everyone! please help!" he yelled. "got it, lets go zuki!" they ran from the old man to the village. what they saw was a blood bath. 'this demon doesnt deserve to live' she thought
"you there...you have shards dont you" she heard a rasp voice say. she turned to see a hidious demon leering down at her. "what of it?!" she yelled. "give them to me." keiko dodged out of the way of the demons claws that swung at her. she reached into her pockets and threw throwing stars at the demon. it yelled in pain and steped back a few inches. "an opening" she said to herself running at the demon, un sheating her sword. she jumped up and she slashed at the demon multiple time, blood pouring from his open wounds. she landed infront of him as he yelled in pain. she jumped up once more kicking him several times. she landed gracefully as the demon fell. every one of her kicks had hit a vital spot. "heh...wasnt so tough" she said smiling. some of the villagers that had survived bowed down before her. "we thank you so much" they said over and over again. "but we have no money to pay for your survices" they said. "forget it" she said as zuki ran up to her. "call me if you are in need of my help again" she said. she walked away form the village, zuki at her heels. she entered the forest and continued to walk through the wood.

Kari was about to jump into another tree when a new scent reached her nose, one of a human far away from her and a demon coming closer by each step. She forze heart pundinginfear, already once this week had she had to figh tfor her life against a demon sent by Naraku,she had barely made it alive and was still wounded all neededwas another to finish her off. Quickly she tarnaformed into a smallcat falling to the ground mewing as though in pain.'Dont let her sene that Im a hanyou.' she begged thegod ilently asthedeon approached.

Nero stoped for amoment, near him he could feel to strong demon auras emeniceing from the back o fthe woods, one closer and one not as much so. Frowing he reached for his staff and went forward to investigate.
