(this is based on fruits basket but you get to make up your own characters and stuff)
one day the animals were invited to a banquet. the rat had fooled the cat by telling the cat that the banquet was the day after tomorrow. so the next day the rat rode on the back of the ox to the banquet when the cat slept, dreaming of a banquet that would never come. which is why the cat was left out of the zodiac.
as we all know there is 12 animals of the zodiac and every year is a different animal. but what if there were people that were possesed by the spirits of the zodiac?
when one that is possesed by the zodiac dies a new person is blessed, or i guess you can say cursed, by the spirit. each zodiac is special in his or her own way.
yuki, kyo, and shigure were possessed with the spirit of the rat, cat, and dog. they lived together with a normal girl named thoru. they passed away a few years ago. aswell as the other members of the zodiac. now 13 new people will be cursed with the zodiac.
they transform if the members of the zodiac are hugged by a member of the opposite sex or grow week. the sohma family who are possesed can be young or old.
parents of the possessed ones either are over protective of there children or desert them. being one of the zodiac isnt all that enjoyable.
okay, you can be one of the zoidac or someone who goes to the same school as the zodiac. you can have the same personality as the characters who were before you or you can make the character all your own. same relatives i guess to make it less confusing (like rat and snake are related, ect.) and same living arrangements (like dog, cat, and rat) i dont want this to get all confusing so we are going to keep some of the same things. but we dont have to have the same love intresests. (like kyo and kagura) the obvious things like the cat hating the rat will be the same and ya. i think thats about it. any questions or if this confusing you pm me and i'll anwser as best i can.

bio: being possessed as the cat is tough. she isnt a part of the zodiac but is still cursed. she hates the year of the rat for obvious reasons. she was abandoned by her parents and now lives the dog and rat, not out of choice.
her true form is conceled by a braclet that is on her wrist. if taken off she will become somewhat of a monster that looks and smells horrible. she doesnt like people knowing this secret of course.
she now has to deal with going to school with boys. if any of them tried to hug her then she would become a cat infront of everyone.
